My Work

From magazine ads to features

After 20 years in the advertising business, you get used to seeing your work published in magazines, printed huge on billboards, and popping up on TV while you’re on the treadmill at the gym. However, as a photographer there’s nothing quite like seeing a photo published not because it had an advertising budget behind it, but just because…

When I started shooting landscape photography around my home state of Oklahoma, my images started getting shared on social media and I was asked to submit some of them to TravelOK and Oklahoma Today Magazine. I was both honored and shocked when I found out that a shot I took on my farm of the night sky would be running as the cover image in an upcoming issue in late 2020.

In that same issue, I had a 2-page spread of this image which also earned me my first photo award.

In 2022, I was asked to shoot the newly renovated state park lodges for Beavers Bend and Robbers Cave state parks, which ran as a 10 page feature, along with the cover image. I’m both honored and humbled to have the opportunity to see my work published in such an amazing magazine as Oklahoma Today, but most of my photography assignments still come from my broad range of advertising clients.

Shooting landscapes are one thing, but what about shooting 5 gymnasts making a royal mess with the chalk!?! After 20 years of shooting on location and building impromptu “sets” wherever I go, I’ve amassed an arsenal of gear and experience for shooting just about anything.
